Passing of Sensei Alex Mahler
It is with great sadness that we inform you that Sensei Alex Mahler, son of Sensei Rudi Mahler, passed away on February 20th, 2013 from an apparent heart attack. Sensei Alex Mahler had taken over the North Delta Judo club along with Sensei Hennie when Sensei Rudi passed away. The funeral service was held on Feb. 28, 2013 at the Victory Memorial Park in Surrey.

Mats for Sale
The now defunct North Delta Judo & Jiu-jitsu Club, coupled with the passing of sensei Alex F. Mahler, has 42 tatami (25 green, 17 red) for sale. The asking price for these mats is $3000.00. If you are interested please contact the Judo BC office.

The Creston Judo Club is pleased to present a seminar with 2012 Olympic Bronze Medalist Antoine Valois-Fortier to be held at Adam Robertson Elementary School in Creston, BC on April 26, 27 & 28, 2013. A banquet honoring the visit by Antoine Valois-Fortier will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Creston & District Community Complex and all are invited to attend.
