Kata Seminar with Mr. Tadashi
Sato
Judo Canada is again bringing Mr. Tadashi Sato, 8th dan, Kodokan Kata Instructor and IJF certified Kata Evaluator, to tour Canada to standardize the Kata across Canada. Sato Sensei was here in January 2011, and is very knowledgeable in all the Katas. All of the stops across Canada; Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and here in Vancouver, will have one day on a weekend day. 2013 Vancouver International

The Vancouver Seikidokan Judo Club and the Capilano Seikidokan Judo Club invites Judoka to participate in the annual Vancouver International Open Judo Tournament for Junior Boys and Girls, Juvenile Men & Women, Cadet Men and Women, Junior Men and Women and Senior Men and Women. For more informaton and to download the registration package click here.
SportMedBC Sport Safety Courses
SportMedBC is offering some great sport safety courses, including Sports 1st Aid, Concussion Management and Athletic Taping, this month that are now open for public registration. All the courses are BCRPA certified and qualify for education credits. We are excited to be holding courses in some brand new locations, click here to find a course near you.
Judogis and Belts to Zimbabwe
16 bags of judogis and belts donated by Judo BC members were loaded into a shipping container on December 29th - about 100 judogis and belts from 8 different clubs (Seinen, Steveston, Delta Kaigan, Prince George, Kamloops, Campbell River, Aberdeen, and Burnaby). The rest of the 20 foot container was filled with donated basketball equipment, all bound for the under privileged in Zimbabwe. Read all about it on our website.

Registration is ongoing for the Dojo Instructor course scheduled for Kamloops in May 2013. Click here for course information and registration forms.

The Steveston Judo Club cordially invites Judokas to participate in their 28 th annual Pacific International Invitational Judo Tournament being held on February 16, 2013 at the Richmond Olympic Oval. We expect a contingent from Tokai University, Japan as well as competitors from the US, Brazil and from all across Canada. Click here for the technical package and registration form.
