Hiring Update
The Judo BC Board has been busy over the summer working hard to hire new staff to replace our Executive Director. As many of you know, Judo BC made the decision not to replace Diane directly but to split her position into two roles. We are in the process of offering a candidate the position of Program Coordinator, we expect to have this position filled in September. This will be shared position with Karate BC and we are very excited at the quality of candidates that were interested in working with us, in part because we were able to offer a full time position.
The position of Sport Development Director has been posted on multiple websites and closes on September 25 th. This will be our new full time staff at Judo BC will hopefully help us grow our sport in this province. Due to the importance of this position we have a longer timeframe for hiring and hope to have someone in position by the end of this year. I encourage you to view the job posting at the Judo BC website and pass it on to anyone who might be interested in applying.
As the hiring progresses we will keep you up to date on any developments.
Yours in Judo,
Sandy Kent, President – Judo BC
