Fraser Valley Wins Team Competition at BC Winter Games
The Fraser Valley (Zone 3) captured gold in the Team Competition at the 2012 BC Winter Games held in Vernon this past weekend. Cariboo-North East (Zone 8) and Fraser River Delta (Zone 4) were 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Reminder - BC Youth Provincial Training Camp
The camp is open to all athletes U15 and up who are members of Judo BC.
Schedule
Saturday, March 3: 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Tournament Capital Center
Sunday, March 4: 7:00am Team Run, location to be announced on Saturday
9:00am to 11:00am at the Tournament Capital Center
Important notes:
- Out of respect for other participators, we ask that everyone arrive no later than 5 minutes prior to the start of each session.
- Bring proper running footwear.
- Bring outdoor running attire, which should include a toque and gloves in the event of cold weather
- All athletes trying out for the junior provincial team are expected to attend the Sunday morning Team Run. Points will be awarded to those who attend.

Two courses will be offereding during the month of March. A Dojo Instructor Course will be offered in Kamloops March 16th to the 18th. Click here for a copy of the registration form.
A women's only Dojo Assistant Course will be hosted in Delta on March 24th and 25th pending funding from the Coaching Association for Canada - We Are Coaches Program. Clubs will have the opportunity to nominate a female member to received a free registration to the course. Click here for a copy of the registration form.

The Spring Inter-Provincial Training Camp (Junior and Senior) will be held in Canmore, Alberta June 1st to 3rd. Look for more details in the next few months.
Judo BC will be hosting a one-week Summer Training Camp August 12th to 17th in Abbotsford, BC. The camp will be open to all U11 to U20 athlete, minimum rank yellow belt, and will be comprised of on mat training sessions and practical seminars on nutrition, sport psychology, strength and condition training and much more. Camp participation will be divided into age appropriate groups to maximize everyone’s learning experience. Senior athletes will be invited to participate in the camp as guest instructors and mentors. Registration will offer both an in-residence option, for out of town athletes, as well as day-camp option. Look for more details in the next few months.
