2014 Pacific International Results
The 29th Annual Pacific International was held at the Richmond Olympic Oval, February 15-16 and featured athletes from across Canada, Washington State, California, Czech Republic and an all Tokyo University Judo Federation Japan team. This year's tournament also featured a kata competition and a team competition. Thank you to the tournament organizers, volunteers, and all those who came out to support this amazing event!

2014 BC Winter Games Results
Judo BC would like to congratulate all the athletes who participated in the 2014 BC Winter Games in Mission February 20 – 23 and to thank all the coaches, officials, volunteers and BC Games staff that made this event a great success. Judo Canada Grading Syllabus Update
Judo Canada Grading Syllabus has been updated and is available on Judo Canada Website.
 “Normally, the maximum grade that can be achieved by a judoka, shall be no more than three grades above of what they accomplished at the end of their Tai period.”
Note: Implementation of this regulation will start as of January 1st, 2016.

Team BC Points updated
Updated points by division are now posted on the Athletes Ranking page of our website. We ask club coaches to verify points, spelling of names, correct weight category and any missing information. Please send any corrections to technical @ judobc.ca by March 3. Please note, as per Team BC Selection Criteria, SENIOR points have not been recorded.

Magnusson Promoted to IJF International Referee 
Congratulations to Mr. Graham Magnusson who was promoted to the IJF International referee rank during the World Cup Event in Oberwart, Austria February 15 & 16, 2014.

2014 Youth Provincial Championships, CWG Test Event and Training Camp
Judo BC invites U14, U16, U18 and U21 athletes to compete in the annual Youth Provincial Championships, CWG Test Event and Training Camp April 5-6, 2014. BC Participants will receive 10 participation points for the event for provincial team ranking (must attend shiai and all training sessions) and points based on placing in shiai as per Judo BC’s Team Selection Criteria (max 20 points for full event).

Bus Transportation to Prince George
Judo BC will be arranging for bus transportation from the Metro Vancouver region to Prince George for this tournament. Download a copy of the bus itinerary and travel application form.

Thea is now handling the general enquiries in additional to coordinating our social media (website, newsletter, Facebook & twitter) and . She will also be coordinating the BC Team to Nationals and the Judo BC 50th Anniversary celebration taking place on June 7th.

Katie will continue to coordinate member services (communication, registration, insurance, sanctioning etc...), accounting, AGM, committee & board support, courses and clinics etc...
